Sequential Project Work

We had a series projects in the studio to help understand the elements of sequential illustration , one of these was a one day project where we focused on demonstrating sequence in two panels , sort of like a before and after or to give the effect of sequence .

I really enjoyed this exercise , looking at how we as illustrators have to try to convey time passing or a suggestion of sequence. I decided to try different layouts and framing for my little sequences , I think my favourite one is the the tumbling sequence, the framing makes the viewer travel with the character in the downward motion which is similar to the the sensation of tumbling down a hill at a slant .
For these images I used watercolours and pen .
