some more of my summer work

This is some more of my summer work featuring people in Jobs,
im very interested in the past and so decided to find some reference photos and draw people from very recognisable professions but from the past such as WW2 pilots and soldiers

 Im quite interested in  the history aviation and I greatly admire early aviation Pioneers  such as the Wright  brothers and Amelia Earhart. I always thought The uniforms used for fighter pilots during the War gave the pilots a certain stance or place which made them a recognisable figure with their biggles hats , scarves and goggle as well as the trademark brown overalls or aviator jacket . Aviators where the explorers of their and the fighter pilots where in the skies doing their bit to help the war effort, risking their lives daily to help defend their country and stop invaders .

 This piece was done with ink, Its a soldier with a plaque card , the original image had a news story written on the card .

Over the summer me and friend had the unique experience of watching the National Theatre's 2011 production of "Frankenstein"  which was directed by Danny Boyle and featured Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Millar . As part of their National Theatre Live program, they recorded the past performance and streamed it into cinemas for people to watch. I was fortunate enough to see the production live also , and one of the scenes that stuck out for me was a scene which featured workers and a train, meant to symbolise the Industrial Revolution of the 19th century , the over welming sounds provided by the chorus members, the smoke , the train made of various parts and sections and the costumes for this segment really spoke to me and inspired to produce some images based on this scene, this one features one of the workers among the smoke...
